F150 won't start just clicks once. All i got to do is touch the positive wire on my battery and lights will come back on but still won't start even tried jumping the truck no go. Starter and solenoid bench tested good. Maybe you have a loose connection down on the starter.

Also might want to check for juice in and out of the clutch switch while your at it. Hence, the bad connection theory or a dead starter. F150 wont start just clicks.
A few months ago, the truck wouldn’t start. All i got to do is touch the positive wire on my battery and lights will come back on but still won't start even tried jumping the truck no go. You need to check for voltage drop in the wires you may have a bad wire bleeding to ground somewere that needs replaced also put a multimeter on the starter and make sure its gettting atleast 11 volts to it anything less and it wont turn hard enough.
Providing the motor isnt locked up, if the solenoid is clicking and the starter isnt turning then you eaither have a bad starter (even though it been replaced) or the connection or cable to it. Only one click and wont start. A bad connection will cause both of these issues you are having.
If your lights don't dim and the voltage gauge stays in the same place when you hit the starter then no current is being pulled into the starter. Several hours later, i attempted to start the truck again, and it started just fine. They didn't bother to bench test it, so no idea if it was bad.

Tried jumping the passenger fender starter relay. I have a 94 4.9l straight 6 f150 with 151,879k miles and every time i turn the ignition i just hear one click nothing else. Both batteries read 11.8 volts.
The starter clicked a single time when i turned the key, and the lights on the radio came on, but nothing else happened.
